Abdominal Transplant Surgeon / Faculty – Indiana University School of Medicine

Indiana University School of Medicine Division of Abdominal Transplantation and IU Health Physicians are actively recruiting a mid-level career full-time abdominal transplant surgeon -scientist with proven research experience to join our team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative group of surgeons and APPs providing exceptional surgical care within the Indianapolis area.


Clinical duties will include transplant surgeries, procurements and other related procedures. You should expect to dedicate a significant amount of time to research activities with protected time and the goal of achieving extramural funding. In addition, clinical teaching is the mainstay of educational duties with opportunities to interact with medical students, surgical residents, and fellows in the office, inpatient, and OR settings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • MD/DO or equivalent education

  • Completion of Transplant Surgery Fellowship

  • Minimum of 5 years experience preferred

  • Established research portfolio

  • Able to obtain IN licensure
