Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon – Massachusetts General Hospital’s Division of Trauma, Emergency Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
The Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Division of Trauma, Emergency Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care (TESSCC) is seeking a trauma and acute care surgeon. The surgeon will have an appointment at the Massachusetts General Hospital and an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School, anticipated at the Instructor or Assistant level. Reporting to the Division Chief of TESSCC and MGH Trauma Center Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for clinical care and teaching at MGH for trauma and acute care surgery and may include clinical care at our community affiliate hospitals. The academic appointment will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
Applicants must be board-certificated in General Surgery. Added qualifications in Surgical Critical Care and Fellowship training in Acute Care Surgery are preferred but is not mandatory.
The MGH is a 1,035-bed facility in Boston, MA and is an ACS-verified Level I Adult Trauma Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and ABA-verified Burn Center.
