Assistant/Associate Professor of Surgery – Breast Surgeon

The Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full time, academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care and expertise in Breast Care surgery. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery. Applicants must have completed, or will complete by the time of hire, a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology (CGSO) and/or Breast Surgical Oncology. Applicants’ materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission.
The new faculty member will join our Section of Breast Care Surgery within the Division of Surgical Oncology, and care for patients as part of our internationally renowned multidisciplinary breast oncology program. The individual will work with our team at the Mission Bay campus via the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and also primarily lead the development of our breast oncology practice at our new UCSF ambulatory surgical center on the Peninsula. Multiple developed clinical research opportunities are available as part of our robust iterative clinical trials program. There will also be the opportunity for leadership in quality of care and outcomes for the Section.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department’s residency training and educational programs, including the breast surgical oncology fellowship.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. This position includes membership in the [health sciences compensation plan](https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
