Brooklyn native, born to immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic, is the Lead Faculty for Research and Innovation for Equitable Surgical Care at the Center for Surgery and Public Health, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
My work has focused on enhancing the innate capacity of the body to heal acute traumatic wounds through the use of engineered scaffolds, nanomaterials, and drug delivery systems.
Dr. Minerva A. Romero Arenas is an Endocrine & General Surgeon at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. She is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College.
